Yashashri Masurkar started her acting career with the Marathi television series ”Laxmanresha” which was based on Kabaddi. Being a Kabaddi player, she loved playing Shivani(lead). serial portrays Shivani’s passion, friendship, and fight for justice.
Though Chandragupt Maurya, was a male-oriented show, Yashashri got to perform some beautiful scenes.
Based on her performance, she was approached to play a lead in Star One’s “Rang badalti odhni” which became ‘the show of her life. She played a village girl from kuchh- Khanak.
When people hate you, you are a successful villain! People hated Sumitra on screen and loved Yashashri off-screen a lot. She met a few of her fans in Mussoorie who showered their love for her.
This was the most draining performance of my life to which I gave all my heart. Though it was only an episode, this story was needed to be told and it needed to be told by Yashashri
Playing a character that has dual shade was ”the thing” about this episode. also, I think I looked pretty hot in ‘that’ scene.
